Kingdom Impact Churches is an initiative under APBF to connect & network with individual churches among the body of APBF. This initiative will provide ministry opportunities and allow individual churches of any size to become actively involved with the mission of APBF and facilitate the advancement of the Gospel in the Asia Pacific region.

Why 'Kingdom' Impact?

Just as Jesus teaches us that we are to seek first His kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33), Kingdom refers to making the Kingdom of God the nucleus and top priority of our mission focus. Striving towards the growth and advancement of the Kingdom of God in the lives of people and the societies that they are part of.

It means as local churches, we focus on God's kingdom by focusing on accomplishing God's mission (missio-dei) in the world. We move away from a local church-centric approach to being Kingdom-Centric in approach. (One can be church-centric without being Kingdom-centric). We are more about the 'Capital C' Church (His Church) than individual churches.

'Impact' means having influence or leaving a strong effect on someone/people whose life or lifestyle has been changed due to the ministries of God's people. 'Kingdom Impact' would therefore mean, God's people impacting the world as "light of the world and salt of the earth" (Matthew 6:13-16).

Characteristics of Kingdom Impact Churches of APBF

Being Kingdom Impact Churches means that we are all about God's Kingdom. It means understanding that there is only one throne and only one king sitting on that throne - Jesus. It means working in close collaboration and coordination, maintaining unity within our diversity and autonomy. It means we are willing to serve.

Working for a Kingdom Impact means the rules have changed. The aim is no longer to put ourselves in a higher position, unlike in an earthly kingdom where position and power rule over others. It is to submit ourselves one to another in partnership and servant hood (Matthew 20:25-26).

Kingdom Impact Pastors ConferenceOne of the impactful benefits of Kingdom Impact Churches is to enrich pastors through a "Kingdom Impact Pastor's Conference". It will serve as a platform to meet, share, pray and build each other in the work of His Kingdom. It will also provide an opportunity for pastors to sharpen their pastoral leadership skill in leading, preaching and ministering.
